RAS and Gratitude

The whole 'Secret' sensation really rubbed me the wrong way; I just don't believe in it. The grain of truth is that what you focus on you'll get more of, and that's got to do with the reticular activating system in your brain, not 'The Secret.'
Matthew Hussey

What you focus on increases.

When you practice gratitude you are training your mind to look for things to be grateful for. A gratitude practice activates your reticular activating system (RAS).

When I play the punch buggy game with my kids, I see the cars everywhere. When I am not playing I don’t notice them. That is my RAS in action.

Focus on gratitude and your mind will find more for you to be grateful for.
