The time when knowledge was power is over. Everyone has that power through Google.
Now, it is how knowledge is connected together that is valuable. Connecting knowledge together to create something new is creating value.
The connection of knowledge is wisdom.
The number of connections that can be made and what they mean is staggering. If you have 4 facts there are 12 permutations when 2 facts are involved and 24 when three facts are involved and another 24 when four facts are involved. Many of these connections may be meaningless, but you never know until you look at them.
These numbers grow extremely quickly. If you have 10 facts the permutations when considering 5 of the facts is 30240. When considering 10 of the facts it is 3,628,800.
Understanding how fact 1 is connected or related to fact 2 and what the connection looks like in the opposite way is where innovation lives. It is where wisdom is found.
