I now have my vision for my life and my goals for 2021.
Creating my objectives for 2021 consists of two sets of planning.
The first is I look at each of my goals and determine the big components or pieces that I need to put in place to accomplish the goals. For some goals that I have been working on in the past year, I look at what has worked and has not worked for achieving that goal. As I use my JournaledLife template for my own use, I have all the activities and personal learnings related to each of my goals documented.
The second thing I look at is all my vision statements that are not yet part of my life. As each of these vision statements is a single aspect of my vision, the vision statement itself just becomes the objective.
At the end of this exercise, I have a long list of objectives.
At this point, I am very careful to look at the objectives as different milestones that would be on different journies towards my vision. I can’t look at them as a to-do list or it may become overwhelming. I look at them like signposts on a road trip. I can’t go on all road trips at once, depending on which road trip I go on, I will see different signposts, or in other words, depending on which journey I take towards my vision, there will be different milestones on the way.
