PKM Principle – Comparing Interpretations

To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others.
Anthony Robbins

As part of your PBOK (Personal Body of Knowledge), you will have your interpretations and the associated facts documented. This gives you a solid foundation for comparing your interpretation with other people’s interpretations.

Then it is a two-step process

  1. Verify your facts with each other
  2. Understand how each side puts their facts together to create their interpretation
  3. Reflect on how your interpretation changes based on the conversation

No matter what the outcome you will benefit. You will have your facts verified, you may add additional facts, you will understand how other people put facts together, and you will strengthen your interpretation of the facts.
