My Daily Thoughts

Whenever you are in doubt... Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen and ask yourself if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him?  Will he gain anything by it? Will it restore him to control over his own life and destiny?  That test alone can make our plans and programmes meaningful.
Mahatma Gandhi

I think the quote is particularly relevant to the current pandemic.

Many people especially young people where the consequences of COVID are not severe need to have the perspective of asking in their minds if their actions are in the best interest of the elderly or those with pre-existing conditions.

It is easy to say that people don’t have the right to harm someone.  But when the action and the harm are so far apart I think people forget this.

How many ideas, thoughts, experiences have we lost because people have made selfish choices.

In the past, we have held the elders in high esteem.  They had the wisdom of experience of their years so that made them valuable.

It is my opinion that we remember the value of people and make decisions that keep this wisdom and experience around.  The result will be a better world.
