Artificial intelligence will write requirements.
Artificial intelligence will turn requirements into solutions.
It will be the business analyst’s role to feed the artificial intelligence the core data to be able to create requirements and solutions.
The business analyst will be the quality assurance on the requirements and the solution.
Determining the core data is a creative process and will be different in every engagement. The core data will start with the main outcomes an organization is looking to create with the change. That is no different than what a business analyst does now. The core data will contain the current state information and the innovative part of what the future state will be. Artificial intelligence will be able to determine the gap and produce the requirements based on the gap.
Requirements that are verified can then be fed into AI for the solution.
We are a ways off from this process, but the ability of artificial intelligence is growing exponentially so we need to start moving towards this paradigm now.
