Understand the Other Side

Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.
John Adams

Understand both sides.

Every interpretation has a chance to be right.

Understanding all sides pushes us to form interpretations from the bottom up.

Take all the facts and the observations and see what interpretations can be made.

If you can make multiple interpretations and then determine confidence for each one you will understand the domain at a deeper level

Remember to apply first principles thinking and keep asking why until you get to the facts and the observations.
