The idea of a practice is to set up your life like a sports practice.
A sports practice has a series of activities that help an athlete get better at their sport. The athlete performs the activities and by performing them becomes better and better at their sport.
It is the same for your practice. You have a set of activities that you want to repeat to get better and better at what you do. The more you perform the activities the more efficiently you can complete the activities. The faster you repeat the activities the better you get at the outcomes of the activities.
Thinking of the activities as practice takes away the need to be able to do the activity at any given level, they are activities you are practicing to get better at.
Just as every athlete at every level practices, our activities can always be viewed as practice.
