I am sitting having my morning coffee looking out at my lake. Actually, it is a stormwater pond but lake sounds much better.
It is fall, so the Canada geese are doing their practice runs for their migration south. For the past few weeks, they have been gathering on the pond and then doing practice loops. At first, they are very haphazard and their alignment is not very good. Today, they are taking off in groups and very quickly forming their V-formations. The practice is critical in order for them to execute their migration south.
The point is all animals practice. They almost expect to be poor in the beginning, but it is all part of the process of migrating south.
