One way of structuring your day in a way that facilitates metrics for how well you are living is to structure your day into short Pomodoro sprints.
Each Pomodoro sprint has a specific focus or objective. Whatever that focus or objective is, metrics can be created to track it. The metric could be either subjective or quantitative.
Your day becomes a series of short sprints that are being evaluated. This shows you how well individual sprints are going and allows you to increase the effectiveness of those sprints
The effectiveness of the day can be measured by how well you fit all the sprints into the day. At the most efficient, the number of sprints will be your time awake divided by the length of the sprint. It would take a very disciplined and focused person to live this way. The efficiency of the sprints is another number you can collect.
Everyone’s efficiency is going to be different. Some people who want to live a more casual life will have a lower efficiency. If you are looking to change your life, look to change the efficiency in how you are living first.
