As a Business Analyst, when I facilitate clients designing a software application, I am gathering requirements.
A requirement is a condition or capability needed by a user to solve a problem or achieve an objective.

I believe the same paradigm applies to designing your life.
I call those requirements vision statements.
Vision statements are short statements the define one aspect of your overall life design. They can range from specific aspects such as the type of car you drive to more general such as the amount of money you make a year.
I preface each of these vision statements with “I am living a life where …”. Such as “I am living a life where I drive a gull wing Tesla”
