Imagine your ideas being a jar full of marbles where each marble represents one of your ideas.
While the marbles are in the jar you can look at them, contemplate them, and talk about them. You can’t see the marbles at the bottom, only the ones at the top. You never get a chance to look at the marbles at the bottom.
The only way to get the marbles out of the jar so you can see the ones deeper in the jar is to write about them. Once you write about them they are out of the jar and the marbles underneath are now accessible.
Moreover, your brain always wants a full jar so it will start to create new marbles at the bottom.
