The discover, analyze, innovate, communicate paradigm can be applied to continuous improvement.
Discover
In the Discover phase you explore, discover, and identify your processes. What are all the tasks, procedures, processes you do on a regular basis?
Analyze
In the Analyze phase you examine and document your processes to gain a good understanding of what the current state of those processes are. During the Analyze phase you take the time to reflect on your processes to get a deeper understanding.
Innovate
In the Innovate phase you refine and test improvements to the processes. Every change may not result in improvement, but having the processes document means you can always go back to an older version.
Communicate
In the Communicate phase you package your processes so they can be shared with others. The process of sharing results in another level of improvement as you understand your processes well enough that they can be communicated to others.
Sharing your journey with others will create connections and those connections will provide even more potential improvements.
