Fake news is a big issue on the internet.
Facts are misquoted and used out of context.
Opinions are stated as facts.
Made up facts are stated as real facts.
Deep fake applications can be used to make it look like certain people are saying things they never said.
It makes it exceedingly difficult to know what to believe.
I think there is a real opportunity for block-chain to address this issue. With agreed-upon facts or opinions backed up by a blockchain structure anytime a fact or an opinion is stated it is automatically traceable back to the original fact and cannot be altered by anyone.
Just an idea.
