Artificial intelligence is going to replace much of the knowledge work that is done today. Many white-collar jobs will simply be replaced by AI.
The question becomes, what is left?
It will be the craftsmen or craftsperson that will have high-paying jobs. It will be the jobs where you need to create a physical skill that takes time to perfect.
For anyone who has ever done taping for drywall knows that this is a skill. Taping is not an activity that anyone can just learn how to do on a weekend.
It will be these skill jobs that are done by craftsmen that will be the high-value jobs of the future.
