Your brain is a connection-making machine
It is constantly trying to make new connections and relationships with the knowledge and experience it has.
If you don’t feed your brain new ideas and new information it will run out of connections to make.
When you feel as if you don’t have any new ideas, or you are drawing a blank when you are brainstorming, look to gain new knowledge. When you have new knowledge and ideas in your head, your brain will naturally start to try and connect that information together.
If you build learning into your daily life, your brain will always have the opportunity to create those connections and create new ideas. Think of the learning as fuel for your creativity and innovativeness.
We run on the treadmill to exercise our body, we also need to find those activities to exercise our brain. In today’s age, there is so much knowledge available to us on YouTube, LinkedIn Learning, websites, online course, and of course books.
The more you learn the more innovative you will be.
